Creative opportunities are not opportune if nobody hears about them. In other words, I couldn’t think of anything catchy to open my post with, so I went with that one. What do you think? Eh? Whatever, I suppose I should get back to thinking about building out our media capabilities, you know, the stuff that will enable La Puerta to keep our community members informed and up to date on all of our latest art projects, but then I realized we didn’t have any online community members. Yet. Minor detail.
This is all so new to me. I’ve been churning out social media campaigns at various agencies on the creative side for at least 15 years, but I never built out a digital presence from the ground up all by myself quite like this (help?). Still, it turns out that thinking about the stuff we could share on social media; like, I don’t know … community performances, events, podcasts, newsletters, creative calendars, something about cats, reviews and insightful stories behind creative projects and the creative people behind them is a lot more tedious than actually making those things in real life. Man am I procrastinating. I’m going to go upstairs now.
Carry on.
